European Non-Ferrous Metal Trade and Recycling Federation (EUROMETREC)
European Metal Trade and Recycling Federation (EUROMETREC) aims to study and examine all European regulatory and technical aspects of the processing, recycling, transport, and trading of non-ferrous metals. This ensures proper representation of EUROMETREC’s members and the ferrous scrap industry towards the EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders. EUROMETREC also seeks to encourage free, free, and sustainable trade, and the use of secondary non-ferrous metals and to improve business opportunities for the industry. EUROMETREC’s members provide expert input on any key EU initiatives which are relevant for the recycling and trade of ferrous metals. EUROMETREC was established in 1990 from the Liaison Committee for non-ferrous metals trade within the European Economic Community (EEC), the precursor to the EU. EUROMETREC was incorporated as a branch of EuRIC in 2016.
